Age Connects Morgannwg are working in partnership with LEAP to offer residents in Bridgend, Merthyr and RCT a FREE service that could reduce your energy usage and bills, whilst keeping you warm and cosy. See if you are eligible by calling ACM on 01443 490650 (option 2).

Who Are LEAP?

The Local Energy Advice Partnership are there to support as many people as possible who are at risk of going into fuel poverty. The service is open to all types of householders – homeowners, private renters, and social housing tenants. The LEAP network includes 127 local authorities and councils, serving 70% of the UK population. Energy and money saving advice is available near you, today.

How does the scheme work?

If you are eligible LEAP will book you an appointment with a friendly, qualified adviser from Age Connects Morgannwg, who will provide guidance and support that is specific to your energy efficiency needs. From referral to home visit, to follow-up, the LEAP service starts with a relaxed and informal call.

The Benefits

LEAP can help reduce energy use and cut your bills in a number of ways:

Check your energy bills to ensure you are not paying too much for your energy.
Provide FREE, simple energy saving measures like energy saving light bulbs and draught excluders which can save the average household £30 on their energy bills a year.
Give you day-to-day energy efficiency hints and tips and ensure your heating system is set up to keep you warm and save money.
Arrange for a call from a specialist adviser to assist you with benefits, debt and other money problems.
Refer you for further funded energy efficiency improvements, such as insulation and efficient heating systems.
