Dementia Action Week
19th-25th May 2025
Dementia Action Week is a vital campaign supported by organisations across the UK. This year we are all working together to raise awareness of the importance of a dementia diagnosis, giving people access to the care, treatment and support they desperately need. Incredibly, 1 in 3 people living with dementia do not have a diagnosis, you can find out more about the condition by reading our blog.
It is also important to remember that dementia is just one part of a person’s story. Behind every diagnosis is an individual with a lifetime of memories, passions, and experiences that still matter deeply. We are raising awareness within our community to ensure that we never lose sight of the whole person - their spirit, their history, and who they truly are beyond their condition. To find out more you can join us on one of our Friendship Benches running from 19th-23rd May. For the latest dates please visit our Facebook page.
We invite you to join us in making a difference.
Together, we can create a more compassionate, understanding community where every person is recognised, respected, and celebrated for who they are.
Will you pledge to see the person before the dementia?
