About Us

Age Connects Morgannwg is the leading charity working with older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil (the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board footprint). We have a strong history with over 45 years of supporting older people and their families through some of the most difficult times in their life. We also have a proven track record of listening to older people, learning what’s important to them and caring about the way they are treated, perceived, and portrayed.

About the Job

General Responsibilities:

  • Build on our pilot Digital Access event to identify and collaborate with new partners and venues throughout the RCTCBC area to deliver Connect & Save Cafes.
  • Recruit local volunteers to support the roll out of Connect & Save Cafes.
  • Work with local high schools to identify older young people that can act as mentors in the Connect & Save Cafes.
  • Incorporate into the sessions “cost of living” advice & support to ensure that people are not missing out on the benefits of accessing online offers that most of us take for granted e.g. online only offers / cheaper prices / savings to be gained via supermarket loyalty cards.
  • Develop a mechanism where the latest deals in local shops and businesses can be shared with older people.
