Karen Davies spent 20 years with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, working in roles across both Communities First and Children’s and Youth Services.

She now manages Age Connects Morgannwg’s flagship community hub, Cynon Linc, overseeing all aspects of the hub - from room bookings and the Hyb restaurant to tenant relationships and fundraising - ensuring its continued growth and success.

Karen’s previous experience also includes roles within the NHS at Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales, supporting New Appointment Coordination and the Rapid Access Breast Clinics, where she organised appointments and liaised with consultants and surgeries to ensure patients received the best care. She has additionally managed office operations for a local nursing home, handling wages, patient communication, and staff rotas, as well as serving as a senior receptionist at a local GP surgery.

A lifelong resident of Aberdare, Karen enjoys contributing to the community she knows so well. She is a proud mother and grandmother, with one daughter and two grandchildren who keep her busy outside of work.
