Meet Nadine
Nadine is our dedicated Memory and Wellbeing Guide covering Merthyr and Cynon. Nadine has been part of the team since the very beginning and has watched the service grow from initial set up, to where we are now, supporting many people living with dementia and their families.

What do you do in your role?
I provide signposting, information, practical advice, and compassionate emotional support to help people living with dementia and their families feel informed, supported, and connected. My day can consist of meeting my clients, or making phone calls, referring to other services and co-running a support group.
What do you enjoy most about working on the team?
I enjoy engaging with people on the team, building meaningful relationships, and being part of a supportive team that makes a real difference. Even though we may not see each other face to face often due to the way we work, we all support each other and are connected.
What motivates you in your work supporting people Living with dementia?
I’m motivated by knowing I make a difference and that those I support, whether it be individuals living with dementia or their families, feel truly heard, supported, and understood at the moments they need it most.
Share a moment that made you feel proud of your work.
I feel proud when someone tells me that the support I’ve given has helped them feel empowered. Knowing I’ve contributed to their confidence and wellbeing is incredibly rewarding.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with friends and spending quality time with my family, I’m also studying for a degree which takes up a fair bit of my time!
